Considering my passion for web development, I have always browsed for courses that could improve my knowledge in web development. I have been following Udacity courses for now over 3 years. Recently they have included a few business course that really helped me to understand the steps toward running a business. I wanted to share with you guys the top 5 courses that I think could help you start or improve your business.
In this course, Steve Blank provides the key steps needed to build a successful startup. The course is focused on the business canvas model which allows you to include your business idea in one unique page. The business canvas model is composed of 9 parts: customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key activities, key resources, key partnerships, cost structure. Here is a link where you can learn more from it. The purpose of this course is to test ideas quickly before developing the product or service. Those ideas might help you to find a problem that businesses or individuals faces and that is painful enough for them to be looking for a solution.

This course helps you to create your mission and vision statements, set quarterly and annual goals, and find mentors, co-founders, and contractors to provide help along the way. It will help you define a vision for your company and most importantly set the intermediate goals in order to make that vision a reality. Moreover, the courses will guide you toward writing a pitch that will secure you possible funds.
Ido Green and Jessica Uelmen will introduce you a way to monetize your product in order to validate if people are ready to pay for the product. In this course, you will learn different strategies you can use to monetize your product and how to implement a monetization plan. Finally, you will learn how you can reevaluate and refine your strategies to increase profit.
Chris Saden and Amir Shevat introduces ways to improve your website by following UI/UX practices, product validation like A/B testing, Google’s Design Sprint and the process for setting and tracking actionable metrics.
In fact, the course will help you to make the website more appealing to the customer and improve it’s conversion rates. For example, it will improve the flow from the landing page to a payment page on your website.
In this course, Lauren Castellano and Roni Bonjack will introduce marketing strategies, that will help you get your first 100o signups. Customers are essential to the business, without customers there is no business. The goal is for you to find your perfect user, connect with them and know what to tell them. This course covers research, planning, execution and how to grow your user base.
