This video made by Fight Mediocrity is summary of the book “How to stop worrying and start living” by Dale Carnegie
Dale Carnegie was an American writer and lecturer.
He was famous for his courses in:
He also wrote a book called: How to Win Friends and Influence People.
Here is the book cover of this book
There are 4 main goals described in this video:
Big Idea 1 – What is the worst thing that could happen? – usually your brain reacts negatively under certain circumstances that are actually not dramatic. Example, if I would constantly be worry about the content I am now writing then I would stop trying. However, what could worst happen? You might just ignore my post and leave the website. Is that really dramatic? I will personally think that I do not mind because I tried.
Big Idea 2 – The absurdity of it all – there is not point being worried about simple things, it is like a disease. Look at this specific video: Nick Vujicic – Good days & bad days explaining the fact that there are always worst things in life. So, you should be glad to be who you are.
Big Idea 3 – Start being busy – the more interest and passion you have, the more busy you become and the less constant worrying you are because you simply cannot think much about problems as much when you are busy. You only have a short time to fix them. so you go straight to the point and only worry for a very limited time.
Big Idea 4 – Would you sell your legs for a billion dollars? – asking yourself this question would make you think, how much “Money” does not really make any sense. How could you then being worry about saving $10 dollars for a deal if you could find a way to increase your salary by 30%?
Then stop thinking and move on!
